hey, welcome to my site! this is a MAJOR work in progress, as you can tell, but i'm replacing the "site under construction" page with this homepage because.....uhhhh. i wanted to! please stay tuned for more updates, i'm really excited to see how this ends up looking...! as always, the old homepage is still available here!

okkkk...i suppose i should write a bio here since this is the face of my site now. i'm bobana, amateur webmaster and japanadian citizen! my hobbies include drawing, writing (admittedly poorly), playing the cello, and of course, html+css (javascript still evades me).

what's this website for? well, i started it way back in 2024 (woah, time flies) as a means of honing my (at that point nonexistent) coding skills. because i'm in the process of nuking and rebranding this whole website, i pretty much have a blank slate to make whatever i want here! the shrines will make a reappearence, as well as a diary and an art archive if all goes to plan.

uhhhhh...stuff i like? sure. my favorite animal is the snail...i really like clowns (they're FASCINATING historically!!!!!) and i collect clown dolls. and also i love analog clocks! some of my favorite books include oranges are not the only fruit by jeanette winterson, my death by lisa tuttle and the princess bride by william goldman, as well as vonnegut and old sci-fi, generally. i'm working my way through 'the classics' too. i listen to a lot of talking heads and they might be giants as well as some vocaloid (especially jamie paige and pinocchiop). i loooove littlest pet shop and of course...LPS popular. which. have you heard it's coming back????? miracles are real guys. my favorite food is shrimp+grits (2 of my favorite things!) and i also really love salsa. i eat plain salsa out of a bowl all the time. it's great. oh and i really like star trek!!!! i've seen tos, tng, ds9 and voyagerrrr which is probably my favorite because. i have bad taste. i like dumb 80s splatter films (especially ones with barbara crampton) but other than that my favorite movies are true stories, the children's hour and porco rosso. tv shows i like include columbo, mst3k and northern exposure. i'm not much for videogames but my favorites are goldeneye 007, ace attorney and animal crossing city folk. my favorite artist is elaine de kooning (other favorites include renoir and paul gauguin) and my favorite painting overall is fernand léger's 'the punching machine'....and uhhh uhmmm that's it i suppose!
